Terms of Use

Last updated October 4, 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using FlowLearning ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What FlowLearning is

FlowLearning is a study companion: it helps you plan study time, organize courses and curriculum, practice with flashcards and tests, generate study guides, and chat with an AI study companion. It is an educational aid, not a school, tutor, or accredited testing service.

Trademarks and non-affiliation

AP® and Advanced Placement® are registered trademarks of the College Board, which was not involved in the production of, and does not endorse or sponsor, FlowLearning. Any reference to AP courses, exams, or scoring scales is strictly for descriptive, educational study purposes.

Accounts

You may sign up with an email address and password or with Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to cheat on live, proctored, or otherwise restricted exams.
  • Ask the AI companion for illegal, harmful, or unethical content.
  • Attempt to access another student's data or disrupt the Service.
  • Scrape, bulk-export, or resell the shared study content library.
  • Misrepresent your identity or school affiliation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Refused or blocked AI requests may be logged for safety review.

AI-generated content

Study guides, flashcards, practice questions, and chat answers are generated by AI (Google Gemini) and may contain errors. They are provided for study support only. Always verify important facts, formulas, and dates against your course materials. FlowLearning is not responsible for grades or outcomes that rely on AI-generated content.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create (courses, notes, test results, feedback). You grant us a limited license to store and process it to operate the Service. Anonymized study content (for example flashcard explanations) may be added to a shared library so other students benefit; shared content never includes your identity.

Academic integrity

You are responsible for using FlowLearning in line with your school's academic integrity policies. Practice tests and study guides are for preparation — not for use during assessments where outside help is not permitted.

Relationship to schools and FERPA

FlowLearning is an independent, direct-to-student educational tool. FlowLearning is not an educational institution, school official, or vendor operating on behalf of any school, school district, or local educational agency. We do not access, process, or maintain official student educational records governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Service availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change, or remove features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for data loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlowLearning and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost grades, lost data, or lost study time — arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or zero if the Service is free).

Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may terminate access for violations of these terms. On deletion, your personal data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
